How to book a PRIVATE party at your home or workplace

The first step to booking your private party is to message or phone us. Once we talk we can then start shaping your special paint party experience based on the number of guests you plan to have and the distance your location is from Elk Grove. You will be given a set base price for up to 15 painters with an additional per painter cost added to the base for more than 15. The party's organizer will place a half of the total  deposit down in order to secure the desired date on the Art Party Calendar. After your successful event the remaining half of the total would then be due. Private parties may be cancelled, and the deposit fully refunded with a minimum of 21 business days' notice from the event date. If less than 21 days notice then the party deposit can then be held and applied to a future party date..

How to book a PUBLIC party at your place of business to welcome new customers

If you own or have a relationship with a business that would like to host a party on a day with less traffic, a paint party is a great way to get the word out about your restaurant, brewery or winery. We will settle on a date, time and painting selection at least 4 weeks before the big day so the public event can be promoted for the greatest participation. If your event is open to the public or is a fundraiser, Art Party can provide you with: the actual 16"x20" example painting with a QR code for instant sign up (if local to Elk Grove/Sac area), letter sized flyers to post at your business or in the community, an event listing on this website for painters to purchase tickets, an ART PARTY facebook link to drum up interest and a time-lapse video to show to creation process and a slideshow slide for promotion (if applicable). We will do everything we can to help make your special paint party a huge success and create an event that your customers want to come back to again and again! Parties open to the public do not require a deposit. Hopefully there is enough participation that we can continue the partnership into the future.

What You Get

We want your event to be fun, memorable and run as smoothly as possible. We provide you with all the supplies needed for the paint party, including our helpful artist(s) to host and guide your guests through the experience. If your event is open to the public we will help with the promotion of the event. For classes larger than 20 painters additional artist assistants will be provided by Art Party at no additional cost to you. We want to make sure that every painter gets the attention they need  and the class runs smoothly and on time.

Last Minute Sign Ups

We understand that life is busy so last minute sign ups do happen and we try to be flexible to that. Painters can be added to the class up to 20 minutes before it starts and can choose to pay for their ticket via Venmo, cash or personal check at the start of class. We do however prefer pre-payment and early sign ups so we can make sure everyone is setup with supplies beforehand and the class starts on-time. 

The Supplies

We provide table clothes, ground clothes, canvases, easels, cups, napkins, brushes, paints, palettes, aprons and anything else needed to complete the masterpiece. (Folding tables and chairs are also available for rent for an additional cost if you need those from us)

Professional Instruction

Our instructors are professional artists themselves and are well-trained in making the painting process simple and enjoyable for painters of all skill levels. Everyone gets step-by-step instructions at a comfortable pace. Our goal is to have no painter left behind. Artists are encouraged to make their masterpieces their own. If they want to deviate from the colors or steps in order to further customize their painting they are free to do so. Additional alternative paint colors will be brought to every class as an option.  

Music

This experience is all about those participating so please tell us what sort of background music you'd like for your event (if any) and we are happy to tailor a playlist to your needs. This is your party after all! If the venue does not already supply the music we can bring an external speaker for this purpose.

Food & Drinks

Food and drink availability varies from venue to venue. Art Party doesn't normally provide food or beverages for the paint party. You as the event organizer will determine if food and beverages will be provided or will be for sale depending on the hosting venue and occasion. Sometimes restaurants and bars offer a free drink for painters and are even okay with bringing in outside food and drinks. Please discuss these options with your hosting venue.

Class Start Time and Setup

The door will be opened for painters 30 minutes prior to the painting start time. This gives everyone time to choose their seat and canvas size and settle in with food or drink while also giving the host and instructor time to set up. It is our goal to start the class on time and finish on-time to honor those who were on-time and may have plans or babysitters to relieve after the event. Art Party staff normally arrives 75 minutes before the start time to setup and stays 30 minutes after for clean up.

Choosing a Painting to Paint

Once the date/time and venue have been established you can peruse the Art Party Painting Gallery of past custom-designed Art Party paintings. You can pick a few from here and share them with friends to have them vote for their favorite! If none of these paintings are speaking to you (That's OK!) a custom designed painting for your event is a possibility given we have ample time before the event to design this.
